Clean Bright Window Wells
If your window wells are rusty, ugly or open at the top, they can be dramatically improved. Window wells without covers let in leaves and debris, and rain and gutter overflow water gets in. The dirt bottom allows weeds to grow and mud to splash up onto your windows. All this makes for a pretty lousy view from inside the basement - the space you want to improve.

Do Your Basement Windows Leak?
When there is water outside of a basement window, it will leak into the basement. Besides the obvious - fix the gutters, re-grade if possible and extend the downspouts - if you don't do something else the window will likely leak again in the future. The next best thing to do is install a drain from the window well to the perimeter basement waterproofing drainage system around your basement that leads to the sump pump. This is a good back-up plan to the best option of a gravity drain from the window well to a low spot in the yard, draining to daylight.

WellDuct Solves Leaky Basement Windows
A simple system called a WellDuct, a vertical extension of the WaterGuard System, drains water from the window well before the window leaks in the even that water rises in the well.

A drain hole is drilled through your basement wall just under the windowsill. If the wall is a block wall, the hole is lined with a section of pipe. Then a grate is installed on the outside over the hole or a specialized drain inlet is installed. The WellDuct conduit itself is installed on the inside of your basement wall.

If water rises to threaten the window, it goes through the grate, through the wall, down the WellDuct, through your inside basement waterproofing drain system and to the sump pump.

RainChute
The RainChute® downspout extension is recessed in the ground, so it doesn't detract from your home's curb appeal and doesn't interfere with your lawn mower - you never have to move it.

RainChute® downspout extensions will never clog because they self-flush leaves and debris away and freezing won't affect the use.

RainChute EZ

The RainChute EZ® rain gutter downspout extension directs roof water away from the foundation quickly and easily. It's best for where there is a landscape area near the foundation. RainChute EZ® is above ground and takes downspout water 3 to 8 fee t away from the foundation.

LawnScape Outlet
The LawnScapeTM Outlet grate disperses water at the end of an underground downspout extension or sump pump discharge line. The LawnScapeTM Outlet is strong enough to ride your lawn tractor over and the lid comes off for easy cleaning. It's best for downspout extensions or sump pump discharge lines over eight feet long.
